Belgaum, Nov 25 (UNI) Raising the ante of revolt yet again, Janata Dal(S) rebel leader M P Prakash today said that he will not be attend the Legislature party meeting of the party to be held in Bangalore on November 29.
Speaking to news persons here, he said he had called a 'parallel' meeting of the 'like minded' legislators in Bangalore a day before the JD(S)LP meeting to chart the future course of action.
"This meeting will not serve any purpose as it is going to be like a public meeting. All elected members from village panchayat to Assembly are invited for it. Legislators will not be able to air their true feelings," he said.
Mr Prakash had rebelled against the party leadership after the party aligned for the second time with the BJP while he was in the process of forging an alliance with the Congress..
The senior leader said he was not being sidelined by the party as the leadership had understood that his important in the party set up. "One cannot deceive someone always and get away with it. I am sure the party leadership has understood this," he said.
Mr Prakash said the onus was on Congress party if wanted to form another government in the state. "There is still a chance to do this. However this doesn't mean that we are opposing early polls. As a party JD(S) is ready to face it any time," he added.
Mr Prakash was in the city to inaugurate a Chouranga drama festival.
