Darbhanga, Nov 25 (UNI) Central Committee member of Communist Party of India-Marxist Leninist (CPI-ML) and its in-charge of Mithilanchal region Dhirendra Jha today alleged that the ruling NDA government is only making announcements of development in the area and was not committed to fulfilling it.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said, ''Instead of making announcements, the government should do something substantial at ground level to develop Mithilanchal and also to accelerate the pace of economic growth in the state.
''The growing menace of catastrophic floods, which increases the problems of rehabilitation and poverty alleviation among the locals in the area needs to be redressed adequately, he added.
He maintained that the Centre as well as the state government had contionously maintained silence over this issue since the past few years and needs to be redressed with immediate effect. Then only could the dreams of progress in Mithilanchal be realised.
Mr Jha also said his party would publish a declarations in Maithili language, stating their intentions on holding a public meeting to solve the issue.
