Haryana govt upgrading health infrastructure: Minister

Chandigarh, Nov 25 (UNI) The Haryana Government is spending Rs 15.74 crore for construction of various buildings of health institutions to provide better health services to the people of the state during the current financial year.

While giving this information today, Health Minister Kartar Devi said that Rs 4.50 crore would be spent on construction of Community Health Centres (CHCs) while Rs 5.50 crore on construction of Primary Health Centres (PHCs). Besides, Rs 5.24 crore would be spent for construction of various hospitals and Rs 50 lakh on construction of various sub-centres in the state.

The Minister said the new building of Public Health Centre, Bhambheva would be constructed by Public Works Department (PWD) at a cost of Rs 1.11 crore. Besides, a new building of Community Health Centre would also be constructed at a cost of Rs 3.98 crore. These centres would provide laboratory services, indoor services, mother and child care facilities and imunisation facilities to the community.

She said presently the construction work of 100-bed hospitals in Bahadurgarh and Jhajjar, B K hospital, Faridabad Phase-II, Government Hospitals in Mohindergarh, Kaithal and Panchkula (Phase-II) and staff residences of Government Hospital in Rohtak had also been taken up.

She informed that 37 PHCs at Balsamand, Sorkhi, Landhri (Hisar), Lakhanmajra, Baland (Rohtak), Bhagal (Kaithal), Mandouthi Kherijasour (Jhajjar), Gher, Barota, Jundlan, Bhadson, Gagsina, Salwan (Karnal), Mohna (Fardidabad), Murthal, Bidhlan, Jagsisura and Mundlana (Sonipat), Panniwala Mota, Dadu (Sirsa), Tatka and Kirmich (Kurukshetra), Pirthla, Nagpur, Pilimandori, Bhattu Kalan (Fatehabad), Sohasra, Harodi, Badhra (Bhiwani), Mandpura and Ujjina (Gurgaon), Alewa (Jind), Bhojawas and Mundiakhera, Shima (Narnaul) were under construction.

She said that the construction work of five sub-centres had also been started. Besides, building of Trauma Centres at Rewari, Ambala and Yamunanagar were under construction with the special assistance of Union Government, she added.
