Bhiwani, Nov 25 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that the Haryana Pradesh Congress Party (HPCC) would express its gratitude to the UPA Chairperson, Ms Sonia Gandhi for the unprecedented increase in the MSP of wheat and other crops.
The gratitude will be expressed at the state level rally to be organized at Bhiwani on November 28 Ms Gandhi will also unveil the statue of former Agriculture Minister, the late Surender Singh at the Ch Surender Singh Memorial Park here on the same day, the Chief Minister said after inspecting the arrangements for the rally to be addressed by Ms Gandhi.
He disclosed that Ms Gandhi would also lay the foundation stone of some major projects costing Rs 3000 crore before addressing the rally.
He said that she would also lay the foundation stone of the Rajiv Gandhi Railway Overbridge and the four laning of Dadri-Jhajjar-Delhi road via Chuchakwas at Dadri in the district.
The Chief Minister informed that an amount or Rs1000 crore per year would be spent on strengthening, construction, repairs and maintenance of roads and railway bridges. H Mr Hooda said that almost 90 per cent construction work of Hansi-Butana Canal had been completed, besides, the present capacity of Yamuna Canal had been raised from 12000 cusec to 20000 cusec.
