Andhra sets 327 runs target for Orissa to win

Cuttack, Nov 25 (UNI) Holding the fort comfortably, Andhra declared their second innings at 287 for nine giving a tough challenge to hosts Orissa on the third day of the Ranji Trophy ( Elite Group-B) league match at the Barbati Stadium here today.

Resuming their overnight score of 67 for two and an overall lead of 106 runs, the visitors added 220 runs during the day losing nine wickets and then allowed hosts Orissa to bat in the second innings.

For Andhra G Shankar Rao scored a brilliant 91 runs off 134 balls which included six boundaries while A G Pradeep made 60 runs facing 159 balls.

Chasing a target of 327 runs to win, Orissa collected 32 runs without losing any wicket at the end of the play with B S Pati and test discard S S Das batting with 08 and 23 runs respectively.

For Orissa P Das took three Andhra wickets for 53 runs while Debashis Mohanty claimed 2 wickets conceding 50 runs.
