After Rajni it's now Vijay, asked to 'stop smoking'!
Chennai, Nov 25 (UNI) After superstar Rajnikanth, Union Health Minister Dr Anbumani Ramadoss is training his guns on superstar Vijay.
Talking to reporters here today, he appealed to the actor not to encourage scenes depicting smoking in his films as it would spoil the youth.
''When I made this appeal to Rajnikanth, he accepted it and there were no smoking scenes in his last two blockbusters ''Chandramukhi'' and ''Sivaji--The Boss''.
Youngsters who treat popular actors as their role models would be influenced by seeing such scenes, the minister said and appealed to actor Vijay to ensure that there would be no smoking scenes in his films hereafter.
Dr Anbumani also urged the Censor Board to act in such a way that films do not contain scenes of smoking and drinking in films.
