Hyderabad, Nov 24 (UNI) The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), in collaboration with the Sri Bhashyakara Charitable Trust in Chennai, will organise a three-day national seminar 'Vande Gomatharam' from December 1 to highlight the importance of cow protection.
Eminent scientists and experts from reputed national institutions would participate in the conference, which would be held at the Mahati auditorium in Tirupati, TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachary said in a release here today.
He stressed the need for a concerted effort for the implementation of a national cow wealth development programme and a re-focus on the Goshala culture to improve cattle bio-diversity, encompassing the wide spectrum of breeds of indigenous cattle.
The conference would focus on promoting policies and strategies for adoption of cow as an harbinger of economic growth in rural India, proposing concrete plans for optimum utilisation of cattle wealth for sustainable agriculture, human health care, renewable energy and other utility products.
The conference would also campaign against abuse and unfair exploitation of cattle wealth and popularise the use of by-products of cow like cow dung, he added.
