Sony Computer invites for ''Playstation Experience''

Mumbai, Nov 24 (UNI) Sony Computer Entertainment India (SCEI) threw open an invitation to city's gaming enthusiasts to witness a larger-than-life expo dedicated to Playstation.

''Playstation Experience- Entertainment like never before'' being held at the Taj Lands End here in Mumbai is a two-day long event of entertainment and introduction of latest Playstation game - ''The Singstar Bollywood''.

Speaking to reporters today, Sony Computer Entertainment Country Manager Atindriya Bose said, ''According to industry reports gaming is becoming an increasingly accepted form of entertainment amongst Indian consumers and society. We perceive this as an ideal time to expose Indian youth to the complete spread of entertainment that is possible with Playstation, the phenomenon that has taken the world by storm. The event aims to capture the attention of Indian youth who are modern and give value to quality entertainment solutions.'' The expo is spread over 10,000 square feet of space and seven gaming zones including the Sports Zone, Speed Zone, Action Zone, Shooting range, Gaming Dungeon, Buzz World and the Singstar Centre Stage.

At the expo, SCEI unveiled the new 40 GB Playstation 3 for Rs 24,990 and the Slim and Light PSP with Video Out facility for the first time in India. SCEI also rolled out an assortment of games including the PSP Spiderman speciality pack at Rs 10,490 with Spiderman game and movie and the PSP Simpsons specialty pack at Rs 9,990 with new Simpsons game and three new games for PS3.

Three more games are on the anvil.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) based in London is responsible for the distribution, marketing and sales of Playstation 3, Playstation 2 and PSP (Playstation Portable) software and hardware in 102 territories across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Oceania. SCEE also develops, publishes, markets and distributes entertainment software for these formats and manages the third party licencing programs for the markets in these territories.
