Probe into serial blasts on right track: UP STF

Lucknow, Nov 24 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Police today said the Special Task Force (STF) investigation was progressing in the right direction in yesterday's serial blasts at court premises of Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad, in which 13 people were killed and 70 wounded.

The STF is also likely to interrogate the terrorists lodged in different jails of UP for any lead in the case, while the sketch of the possible terrorist involved in the Varanasi blast will be released soon.

According to the preliminary report, the live bomb recovered from Lucknow court premises was said to be RDX or C-4, while the rest of the explosives used were ammonium nitrate.

Newly-appointed ADG (STF) Brij Lal told mediapersons here tonight that all jailed terrorists in UP would be interrogated. At present, Lucknow jail houses 22 hardcore ultras.

He admitted there was some problem in the release of the sketch of the terrorist involved in Varanasi blast, as the bicycle salesman could not recollect the appearance of the purchaser.
