Orissa collapses at 140

Cuttack, Nov 24 (UNI) A five wicket haul by off-spinner Hemal Watkar helped Andhra to restrict Orissa at 140 all out on the second day of the Ranji Trophy ( Elite Group-B) league match at the Barbati Stadium here today.

The hosts bundled out Andhra at 179 on the opening day yesterday, suffered a major set back as the batting line collapsed today.

Andhra all-rounder Hemal had a brilliant spell of five for 32 runs while Y Ganeswar Rao captured two wickets conceeding 15 runs.

At the end of the play the visiting team had an overall lead of 106 runs losing two wickets for 67 runs in the second innings.

From home side Niranjan Behera was the top scorer with 31 runs followed by wicket keeper Haladhar Das who scored 30 runs respectively.
