Bhopal, Nov 24 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Bar Council has announced that it will boycott work on November 26, in protest against yesterday's serial blasts at district courts in Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad.

''The boycott decision was taken at a council meeting today,'' said its Chairman Rameshwar Neekhra. Advocates stayed away from work today as well.

Bhopal District Bar Association Secretary Anand Tiwari said that lawyers organised a condolence meeting today. A resolution passed at the gathering urged the Bar Council of India to provide ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to families of advocates killed.

Another resolution demanded tighter security at this state's courts and setting up of metal detector-equipped police posts.
