Govt policy sought to protect Telugu
Tirupati, Nov 24 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government should introduce a ''uniform language policy'' to protect and encourge teaching of Telugu, Telugu Official Language Chairman A B K Prasad said today.
After inaugurating the seven-day Telugu Basha Bramotsavams, organised by Telugu Samskuthika Vikasa Vedika (TSVV) here, Mr Prasad alleged that English was introduced at primary levels, even at the government-run schools, as part of ''soft skill learning.'' TSVV Chairman B Karunakar Reddy, who is also the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Chairman, said the main objective of the event was to revive and propagate indegenous culutre.
