Employer cheated of Rs 8.5 lakh by two employees
Nashik Nov 24 (UNI) Two employees of a company, allegedly cheated their employer of Rs 8.5 lakh, by forging his signature and encashing blank cheques.
Ajay Engineering and S K Engineering's owner Ajay Yadav, has lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.
Mr Yadav told the police he had given, among other cheques, six blank cheques to clerk Ambalal Patil who also looks after the accounts of these companies, along with his brother-in-law Raosaheb Jadhav.
The duo allegedly forged Mr Yadav's signature and encashed the cheques from Satpur branch of the Canara Bank, Mr Yadav has said in his complaint. The two had allegedly withdrawn Rs 8,55,000.
The matter came to light when a cheque for Rs 30,000 issued by Ajay Engineering, in the name of S K Engineering, bounced back.
However, after inquiring it with the Bank, Mr Yadav realised he had been duped by his employees.
