BWSSB MD office and Residence raided, Rs 20 Cr property seized
Bangalore, Nov 24 (UNI) Karnataka Lok Ayukta in a raid conducted on the office and residence of Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) Managing Director Srinivas Reddy unearthed cash and immovable property worth more than Rs 20 crore, disproportionate to known sources of income in the city today.
Lok Ayukta Justice Santosh Hegde told reporters here that the raid, which began early this morning, is still continuing in the office located at Kaveri Bhavan and the resident at Sadashivanagar in the city.
He said that the officials have seized cash worth Rs 1.50 crore and documents relating to land property of 18 acres besides bank pass books of several of banks during the raid.
Mr Hegde gave details of the property of houses, apartments and plots owned by his close relatives in various places in the city.
He said that Reddy also owned agriculture lands at different places in Anekal taluk.
