Araku, Anantagiri resorts opened: Minister

Visakhapatnam, Nov 24 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy today inaugurated the additional complexes constructed by the State Tourism Development Corporation in the 'Hill Resorts' of Araku and Anantagiri in this district.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Reddy said the new hotel rooms of the Mayuri complex in Araku Valley, constructed at a cost of Rs 570 lakh in 7.50 acres of land had 62 deluxe rooms and 3 luxury suits with basic amenities.

The Minister, who also inaugurated the 'Haritha Hill' resorts at Ananthagiri, near here, said APTDC had built 16 independent cottages, 3 luxury suits, 9 tented accommodations with facilities a conference and banquet hall with a seating capacity of 150 members in 3.50 acres of land, at a total cost of Rs 475 lakh.

The tourism department was also planning to develop the area surrounding the Thattiguda waterfall in Ananthagiri, at a cost of Rs 25 lakh, Mr Reddy added.
