Ahmedabad, Nov 24 (UNI) Amul is all set to enter the ''Fresh Paneer'' segment by leveraging its Liquid Milk distribution network covering over lakh retail outlets across the country.
A spokeperson of the Gujarat Co-opertive Milk Marketing Federation Partha Chakrabarti said, ''Amul will be launching ''Amul Fresh Paneer'' in Ahmedabad from November 26 through its liquid milk distribution network in the convenient sizes of 200 gm priced at Rs 25 and 1 kg block priced at Rs 115.'' He said that in the frozen paneer category, Amul Malai Paneer is already commanding over 65 per cent market share in the branded paneer market and the fresh paneer segment will further strengthen its position in the dairy products category. ''Fresh Paneer does not contain any chemicals or preservatives,'' he added.
Amul Fresh Paneer is in tamper proof sealed poly pouches which ensure the quality is affected and can be stored in the refrigerator for 15 days, sources said.
