Jamshedpur, Nov 24 (UNI) A dawn to dusk bandh, called by All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) to protest the murder of its leader, today evoked partial response in West Sighbhum district head quarter Chaibasa.
Official report said shops remained closed in the main markets of the town and vehicular traffic was thin on the road. However, long distance buses plied normally, the sources said and added educational institutions also remained closed.
Altogether 23 AJSU activists were detained for applying force for the closure of the markets,police said.
AJSU district secretary Sanatan Diggi was killed in bomb blast near Domsai railway crossing under Jhinkpani police station area last evening.
Police said a family feud might be the reason behind the killing.No arrest was made in connection with the incident and an FIR was lodged with Jhinkpani police station,police said.
