Vijayawada, Nov 23 (UNI) Top leaders of United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) would hold a meeting here tomorrow, before the Telugu Desam Party's 'Rythu Garjana' to discuss the problems of the farmers and chalk out a future course of agitation to exert pressure on the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government for achieving Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy and other 13 agricultural crops.
TDP sources told UNI today that Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh, National Lok Dal leader Om Prakash Chautala, National Conference Patron Farooq Abdullah, AGP leader Brindavan Goswamy, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi and Atul Kumar Anjan General Secretary of the CPI affiliated to All India Kisan Sabha, would arrive at Gannavaram airport by a special flight from New Delhi tomorrow morning and would be received by UNPA Convenor and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu.
The meeting would also see national leaders of the UNPA deliberating upon the need to press for better MSP for 14 crops.
The leaders would later participate in a rally from NTR circle, which would culminate at V R Siddhartha Engineering College grounds for a public meeting to be addressed by them.
The route of the rally, as well as the venue of the public meeting had been decked up with banners, cut-outs, flags, buntings and various other publicity material in yellow.
The venue had been named as 'NTR Pranganam' and two routes were arranged to reach it. Besides, a separate route for scribes and VIPS and another for Mr Naidu, Mr Mulayam and other VVIPS were arranged.
The sources said about ten lakh crowd from all over the State were expected to throng the venue and two big screens to beam the live-feeds of the proceedings were installed.
Mr Naidu after arriving in the city from Hyderabad, would proceed to Kanakadurga temple, atop Indrakeeladri hill to have a darshan of the goddess, the sources added.
The sources said 14 huge arches decorated with natural products of the 14 crops would be erected at various entrances to the venue of the public meeting. Tableaux, reflecting various stages of cultivation and farmers problems would be a special attraction of the rally.
