'The Mobile Store' to open 40 stores in North India

Chandigarh, Nov 23 (UNI) The Mobile Store, the telecom retail chain of Essar Group and Virgin, today announced that the company would create a chain of over 40 retail stores across 5 cities in Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana by the end year.

Speaking at the opening of one of its outlets here, which was inaugrated by former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev, The Mobile Store Ltd CEO and Director Rajiv Agarwal said, the company plans to create a pan-India network of 2500 telecom retail outlets across 600 cities in the next three years. Currently over 325 store are already operational across the country.

''The mobile sector is very organised but its retail side is still very unorganised. The Mobile Store will offer telecom customers a superlative shopping experience with its unique all-under-one-roof telecom solutions. Besides a wide range of handsets, on offer would be valued added services and after sales service. Another unique feature of The Mobile Store is exeprt guidance on mobile selection and use.'' ''Our store hosts a variety of brands like Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG and Reliance Mobile. The company has also tied up with all leading service operators including Airtel, Vodafone, Tata Indicome and Reliance Mobile, offering the consumer a wide bouquet of options,'' Mr Agarwal said.
