Panaji, Nov 23: Defending champion Ameya Walawalkar (Mumbai) with 116 points, Rayomand Banajee with 92 points and Goa's Audhumber Hede with 90 points will be seen in action in the 4th round of MRF-MAI Indian National Karting championship 2007 to be held on November 25 at Go-A Kart track at Nuvem in South Goa.
MRF general manager (advertising) Tony Rodricks, speaking to reporters, said about 100 Go-Karters are expected to participate in the event that carries cash prizes worth over Rs 100,000.
He said the event will cover Race 1 of Indian National Karting Championship World Formula Senior (INKC-WFS), Cadet Class, Indian National Karting Championship (INKC-WFJ), Rotax Max Senior and Junior, KCT for novice and locals, cadet and ladies with single engine Honda GX 390 with 13 HP and 6000 rpm being in use all with homologated MRF tyres.
In the junior category, Nilhil Kashyap with 70 points is at the top with Abha Mankar (Girl) in the second place with 32 points and Mitra Yerawadekar with 31 points. Tomorrow, the qualifying races will be held for ladies and juniors, and two heats of the event will be held on Sunday evening.
The final round will be held in Kolhapur on December 9. Earlier, the first three rounds were held at Cochin, Coimbatore and Kolhapur.
