Panaji, Nov 23 (UNI) The North Goa Sessions Judge, U V Bakre today adjourned the case on a criminal revision application filed by Goa Health Minister, Vishwajeet Rane and his wife Divya Rane against the order issued by a lower court, to November 28.

It might be recalled that the Judicial Munciff First Class magistrate court of Judge Edgar Fernandes directed the presence of the couple in the court to answer charges under Sec 506 (II) of Indian Penal Code on a criminal case filed by ''Utt Goenkara'' spokesman advocate Aires Rodrigues.

It may be recalled that Mr Rodrigues had filed a complaint with the Old Goa Police on July 31 as he had received a call on his mobile from Mr Vishwajeet Rane saying, ''This is Vishwajit Rane. Be careful. I will get you shot''.

In his private criminal complaint with the JMFC, Mr Rodrigues stated that the Old Goa Police on political pressure were dragging their feet in the investigation and had even registered the FIR against the Health Minister 22 days after the complaint.

Now the Health Minister and wife in their Criminal revision application before the Sessions Court had stated that the complaint filed by advocate Aires Rodrigues was to harass them on account of the political rivalry.

The duo had however not given details or the nature of the alleged political rivalry and did not back their criminal revision application by an affidavit.
