The Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti will organise 'Gandhi Katha', a commemoration of the momentous events in lyrical Hindi, during November 25-29, an official of the Culture Ministry said.

'Gandhi Katha' programme has been organised and compered by Mr.

The programme is also to commemorate the 60th anniversary of India's Independence. Besides, the year 2007 has become a historic milestone in humanity's quest for global non-violence with the UN declaring October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti) as the International Day of Non-Violence.

''Gandhi Katha aims to celebrate all these historic events that have fallen in the Calendar Year 2007,'' the official said.
