Fifth round of Dirt Track nationals at Kolhapur on Dec 22-23

Mumbai, Nov 23 (UNI) The fifth and final round of the ''Gulf Dirt Track National Championship'' series will be held at Kolhapur on December 22 and 23.

The event sponsored by Gulf Oil Corporation, organized by Mumbai's Sportscraft, in association with Mohite's Racing Academy, under the aegis of the Federation of Motorsports Clubs of India will be held at the Merryweather Ground, Kolhapur, a release issued here today stated.

The ''Gulf Dirt Track National Championship'' is open to riders from all over India and is expected to draw the best and first time riders in a test of riding skills and human endurance.

The prize money at stake is huge, with the winners of each leg taking home Rs 85,000, while the overall winners, who log the most points in the five legs (for group 'B' - modified class, Novice class and for foreign class), will receive Rs 2,50,000.

Entries for the same will be accepted till December 17.

Late entries will close on December 19, the release added.
