Congress stages walkout twice

Dehradun, Nov 23 (UNI) Opposition Congress members staged a walkout twice from Uttarakhand Assembly on the third day of its Winter Session here today, expressing disatisfaction over answers provided by the Ministers to their questions during Question Hour.

Independent member Yashpal Benam initiated the question whether Agriculture Directorate would be transferred to Pauri. The supplimentary questions were raised by the Congress members thereafter.

When Agriculture Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat was answering to their queries, Opposition leader Harak Singh Rawat, expressing his disatisfaction, staged a walkout from the House along with other Congress members.

Second time Congress member Pritam Singh raised the question whether the government was raising mini stadiums in the state and why the constructions of few of them were stopped. Sports Minister Rajendra Singh Bhandari, when answering to the questions, said the work was stopped for the evaluation and to check availability of land for the stadiums and in other cases owing to land disputes. At this, Leader of the Opposition staged a walkout with other members saying that the government was not sensitive towards the welfare of the youth.
