Indore, Nov 23 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Congress President Subhash Yadav's son Arun Yadav submitted his nomination papers today as the Congress candidate for the bypoll to Khargone Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh, official sources said.
Mr Subhash Yadav, former minister Bala Bachchan, Dr Vijaylaxmi Sadho and other party workers were present on the occasion. A rally was taken out up to the district election office before filing nomination.
Today was the last day for submitting nomination. A total of 20 candidates, including Mr Arun Yadav, former BJP MP Krishnamurari Moghe, Bharatiya Janshakti's Sanjay Jhanvar and SP's Kashriam, have submitted their nomination papers for the bypoll.
Scrutiny will take place on November 26, names may be withdrawn by November 28, polling is scheduled for December 12 and counting will take place on December 15.
Meanwhile, Mr Arun Yadav, while addressing a public meeting, said removing corruption would be his main poll plank.
