Traffic advisory for Guru Nanak Birthday procession tomorrow

New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) The Delhi Traffic Police has advised motorists against taking some routes tomorrow when an annual commemorative procession on the eve of the birthday of first Sikh Guru Nanak Dev will be taken out.

The procession will assemble at Parade Ground Esplanade road near Gurdwara Sis Ganj, Chandni Chowk, and poceed for Gurdwara Nanak Piao, Old G T Road.

The route of the procession will be as follow -- Parade Ground, Fatehpuri, Khari Baoli, Qutub Road Chowk, Azad Market, Rani Jhansi Road, Roshanara Road, Ghanta Ghar, G T Road, Shakti Nagar Chowk and will terminate at Gurdwara Nanak Piao.

The procession is to start at 1000 hrs and will come to an end at 2200 hrs.

A large number of devotees are expected to participate in the procession, which will include Palki Sahib, vehicles, school children, bands and gatka(martial arts) parties.

The traffic party has made elaborate arrangements in order to regulate movement of the procession and give timely diversions so that the road users face minimum inconvenience.
