Siemens Q4 net up at Rs 308.62 crore

New Delhi, Nov 22: Siemens Ltd today said it has posted a net profit of Rs 308.62 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 136.75 crore for the same period a year ago.

Total income of the company also increased to Rs 2,242.44 crore for Q4 FY07 where as the same was at Rs 1,563.32 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.

The company's net profit stood at Rs 596.54 crore for the year ended September 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 360.10 crore for the same period a year ago.

Total income also saw a hike to Rs 7,825.33 crore for FY2006-07 where as the same stood at Rs 4,648.61 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.

The Group's net profit (after minority interest) stood at Rs 692.85 crore for the year ended September 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 391.69 crore for the same period a year ago.

Total income also increased to Rs 9,427.04 crore for FY2006-07 where as the same was at Rs 6,078.32 crore for the year ended September 30, 2006.

''The business activities pertaining to the 'Information and Communication' segment were sold and transferred as a going concern on slump sale basis to 'Siemens Enterprise Public Communication Pvt Ltd' (SECPL) Mumbai, with effect from August 01, 2007 for a total consideration of Rs 60.9 crore, due to which the quarter and yearly results are not comparable,'' said a company statement.
