Shiv Sainiks stage agitation at Ferozeshah Kotla stadium
New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) Shiv Sainiks today staged a protest at the Freozeshah Kotla stadium, venue for the first India-Pakistan test match which began today, demanding severing of all ties with the neighbouring country and an immediate cancellation of the ongoing Indian tour of the Pakistan cricket team.
They also demanded an apology from batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar for visiting painter M F Husain, who painted Hindu deities in the nude, in the UK on the latter's birthday and wishing him.
Addressing the Sainiks, Delhi Shiv Sena chief Jaibhagwan Goyal assailed the UPA government for what he alleged its double standards, saying, '' On the one hand, the government admitted in hushed tones that Pakistan is behind most of terror activities in India, and on the other it is organising a tour of the cricket team of the neigbouring country to cement ties with it.'' He said terrorists could sneak into India along with those people who come from across the border to see cricket matches here.
