Governor, CM, LF Chairman visit Basu
Kolkata, Nov 22 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi and Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today visited CPI(M) patriarch Jyoti Basu, who was hurt after a fall at his Indira Bhavan residence at Salt Lake yesterday.
Sources close to Mr Basu said the 94-year-old leader had hurt his waist and an x-ray was conducted on him. However, he was now alright, they said.
''He is in a cheerful mood. Doctors have put him on medication and advised two or three weeks' rest,'' the Governor told reporters while coming out of Mr Basu's residence.
