DGP orders probe into misuse of case property car by DSP

Moga, Nov 22 (UNI) The Director General of Police, Punjab has taken a serious view of the alleged misuse of a vehicle, which was a case property, by DSP Rural Moga and ordered a probe into the matter.

The DGP has directed the SSP Moga, L K Yadav to hold a probe into the issue after a news reports yesterday showed the misuse of this vehicle, which was fitted with red light. The photo of the vehicle was taken at Dhudike when the accused police official was on official duty.

According to SSP L K Yadav, as per the directions of the DGP, he has deputed S P Detective Moga Laskhar Singh to look into the matter of the DSP Rural, allegedly misusing the vehicle - a case property registered with the Mehna Police Station.

The said vehicle, along with three other stolen vehicles, was recovered by police from a three-member gang of car lifters.
