New Delhi, Nov 22: Aimed at creating educational content using space technology, Core Projects and Technologies Ltd (CPTL) today said it has collaborated with IGNOU for setting up visualisation learning centres at its centers in the country.
''The MoU was signed with IGNOU for setting up visualisation learning centres. The project will be created using Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE),'' said a company statement.
CAVE has been developed by scientists of the Center of Higher Learning (CHL) at the NASA Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, it added.
IGNOU will set up visualization laboratories at all its centres, suggest the educational content and provide subject matter experts in the development of the educational products.
''CPTL will maintain a staff of visualisation scientists to develop a substantial library of 3D education software titles and will cover subjects ranging from biology, anatomy, chemistry, molecular science and physics to training topics for medical, engineering, and vocational students,'' the statement said.
