Patna, Nov 22 (UNI) Bihar Child Labour Commission chairman Ramdev Prasad today urged the Centre to constitute a National Commission on child labour soon.
Mr Prasad said here that he had formal discussion on the issue with the Union Labour minister when he met him on November 20 during International seminar on children's rights day in New Delhi.
''I tried to impress the minister on the urgency to set up child labour commission at national level to check their exploitation and also for their rehabilitation.
''Bihar is the first State in the country to set up child labour commission,'' Mr Prasad claimed.
''The State is commemorating 'Child labour eradication fortnight' from November 19 to December 04 during which focus would be given on education, health, exploitation and immoral trafficking of the children'', he added.
