Hyderabad, Nov 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will flag off the Hyderabad 10 K run and Half Marathon with a prize money of Rs 15 lakh here on November 25.
Noted International athletes, including Tanzanian athlete Banuelia Britgon, Kenyan athletes John Mutai Kipyator and Raymond Kiprono will vie for honours in the run.
Talking to newspersons here today, Minorities Welfare Minister Mohd Ali Shabbir said Asian Silver medalist Surendra Singh and Indian Associate silver medalist Treeja Sridharan would be among those taking part in the run, which is into its fifth year.
Indian Air Force Sky Diving team would jump off at 7000 ft and land in a square in front of the dias and hand over the Hyderabad 10K flag to Dr Reddy, said K R Padmaja Reddy, heading the Hyderabad 10 K Run Foundation.
Electronic timing chip was being introduced for the first time to avoid misjudgement, Ms Padmaja added.
