29 illegal Bangladeshi migrants arrested
New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) The Delhi Police today claimed to have arrested 29 illegal Bangladeshi migrants during a raid in the Kalyan Puri and Vivek Vihar areas of east Delhi.
Acting on a tip on November 19, a 72-hour search was conducted by the East District police and the 29 were apprehended.
During interrogation, they admitted that due to poverty they entered Indian territory illegally from Bangladesh.
All of them have been kept in detention of the Foreigner Regional Registration Offices(FRRO) and will be deported to Bangladesh soon, police said.
