By Staff

Jaipur, Nov 21 (UNI) Former India skipper Kapil Dev has said that film star like Shahrukh Khan has a ''Dil'' (heart) for cricket and that is why he comes to witness the matches.

Talking to newsmen Kapil Dev said that what is wrong in Shahrukh coming over to witness cricket matches for his love for the game. Even the Prime Minister of the country could come and watch matches. If personalities like this come, cricket gets an encouragement, he said and added that Shahrukh has never used cricket to reach this level, where he is today.

Kapil Dev, under whose captainship India had won the 1983 world cup said that ''I don't know how BCCI authorities are taking Shahrukh's presence on cricket field''. He is the film star who had gone to witness and encourage the Indian team during Twenty-20 world final in South Africa which India won. Surprisingly BCCI's chief administrator Ratnakar Shetty has said that Shahrukh Khan had been using the cricket platform for the promotion of his films. Reacting strongly to this, king Khan expressed great disappointment and said that he was going to witness cricket for his children's love to the game and hence forth he will not go to witness cricket.
