Research on gas-hit to continue, says minister
Bhopal, Nov 21 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government would continue the ongoing research work on the ailing gas-affected victims and their children, State Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Ajay Vishnoi has said.
While reviewing the research work being carried out by the Rehabilitation Study Centre at a meeting here yesterday, he stressed the need for special study on symptoms of serious diseases inherited by the children of gas-affected people and directed to prepare an action plan for research relating to DNA genetics.
Mr Vishnoi agreed in principle to raise the salary of the ICMR staff working at the Centre, official sources said.
