Pilgrims leave for Pakistan for Guru Nanak's birthday

Attari, Nov 21 (UNI) A 3000-strong Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) jatha today left for Pakistan to take part in the birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak at Nankana Sahib on November 24.

The jatha led by SGPC member Amrik Singh Vichoa left by two special trains for Lahore from here.

The pilgrims will pay obeisance at Gurdawara Janam Asthan at Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak on November 24. Besides they would also pay obeisance at Gurdwara Panja Sahib and Gurdwara Dera Sahib near Lahore before returning home on November 30.
