NTPC partners AUstralia's University of Technology

New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) Country's largest power generating company NTPC Ltd and University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) today said they will collaborate in research and development in sectors like coal mining and oil exploration.

''The MoU signed here provides for the visit and exchange of professionals for the purpouse of study, research, training and participation in internationally-funded projects,'' said a statement.

NTPC, a public sector enterprise which has a total installed capacity of 27,904 MW, also has a wide network of academic institutions both in the country and abroad.

The UTS is a premier recognised university for its excellence in academic and professional areas.It also offers a wide range of courses at the under-graduate and higher levels besides focus on research.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Morris Lemma, Premier of New South Wales by Ross Milboune, Vice Chancellor and President, UTS and Mr R C Srivastava Director (Human Resources).
