Jamui, Nov 21 (UNI) Union Steel, Chemical and Fertiliser Minister and Lok Janshakti Party(LJP) president Ram Vilas Paswan today promised the enactment of a new law to reduce the prices of medicines in the intrest of the poor.

Adressing a public meeting here, to lure the masses for LJPs Sankalp rally, Mr Paswan said his ministry is committed to protecting the interest of the poor and for this he was keen on reducing the soaring prices of medicines.

Mr Paswan said his ministry had taken the decision of health insurence for 1,20,000,00 people in the first phase.

Regarding the question of shortage of supply of fertilisers in the state, he clarified that there was no shortage of fertiliser supply to Bihar. In fact the amount alloted to the state was not even used by it he said.

He maintained the scarcity of fertilisers in the state was the result of the faulty distribution policy of the state government. He also alleged the ruling NDA government under Nitish Kumar is anti-poor which failed on all fronts.

He also added that LJP is different from the other parties as it was not concerned about grabbing power rather wished to bring common people in the mainstream which ultimately will pave the way for overall development of the state.
