New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) A trio of teenage Indians -- Adonda Raju, Rajib Basumatary and Ravindhar Hembram -- did the country proud as they set up a new world record at the 3rd Cadet World Archery Championship held at Mexico.
According to information received here, the three Indian archers belonging to the Tata Archery Academy tabled a combined score of 440 -- a feat that has never before been achieved by anyone --.in the team's semi-final and final (2 X 24 arrows).
International Archery Body (FITA) has ratified the world record.
Archery Association of India President Vijay Kumar Malhotra congratulated the archers and appreciated the efforts of Tata Steel towards setting up of the Academy.
