India to field four member team for Asian Tournament

Bangalore, Nov 21: India will field a four member team, including two male and two female, to represent the country for the Asian Qualification Taekwando tournament to be held from November 28 to 30 in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam for Beijing Olympic games 2008.

According to a release from Taekwondo Federation of India Secretary General T Praveen Kumar here today, Sandeep Kumar of SSCB and Nakul Malhotra of Madhya Pradesh were selected in Male section in WT Category under 68 kg and 80 kg respectively, while Sanoujam Surbala Chanu of Manipur (Under 49 kg) and Shrishti Singh of Uttar Pradesh were selected in female section to participate in WT Category.

Fariborz Askari of Iran and Prem Kumar would be accompanying the players as Coach for Male and Female section respectively.
