CBI charts out roadmap for future: Paramvir Singh

New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) CBI Additional Director Paramvir Singh today said the agency has initiated a study to identify the problem areas and chart out a roadmap for its future.

''An experienced consultant in institution-building is conducting a study to identify and define the problem areas of CBI in a professional manner,'' he said.

He hoped that the study would enable the CBI to create a better working condition and prepare the road map for the CBI of the future, an agency that is modern, efficient and effective in contributing to good governance.

He was speaking at the passing out parade of 24 Sub-Inspector cadets at the CBI Academy, Ghaziabad.

Mr Singh exhorted them to follow the high traditions of the CBI.

''People have deep faith in the CBI and officers passing out have an onerous responsibility to live up to the expectations of the people of this country,'' he said.

He stated that the CBI is focusing on capacity building, excellence in training and human resources development and modernisation.

On the occasion, Paramvir Singh awarded the best cadet trophy to G A Suriya Kumar, a commerce graduate from Madras University.

While Vilas Bala Mhadgut recieved the best Indoor Trophy, Suresh Chand Bhagwat got the best outdoor trophy. The best sportsman trophy went to S Sridhar Iyer and the best shooter trophy to Jugal Kishore Joshi.
