CAG submits audit report to Tripura govt

The
Comptroller
and
Auditor
General
(CAG)
has
forwarded
the
finance
accounts
and
appropriation
accounts
of
Tripura
for
the
fiscal
2006-07
to
the
state
government
last
week.
Official sources said here today that under the Comptroller and Auditor General's (Duties, Powers and Conditions of Service) Act, 1971, the CAG had prepared Finance Accounts of the state, the statement of receipts and disbursements, besides appropriation accounts, the excess or savings under each grant or appropriation as passed by the Legislature for the last fiscal.
Both these accounts are submitted to the state government for being laid before the Legislature, the sources added.
