Vijayawada, Nov 20 (UNI) The Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus on the 'Ram Sethu' issue, BJP President Rajnath Singh said tonight.

Addressing a public meeting here, he said, ''The Britishers and Muslim Kings who ruled the country never questioned the existence of Lord Ram, but the present UPA government had questioned the existence of Lord Ram, which is totally unacceptable to the Hindus in the country.'' Mr Singh said, '' If Lord Ram does not exist, how come Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, used to chant the name of Lord Ram.'' He said his party would not allow the Centre to demolish the 'Ram Sethu'.
