Police on look out for woman in bomb hoax case

Tiruchirapalli, Nov 20 (UNI) Police were on the look out for a middle-aged woman for giving a false bomb threat to a private Christian Missionary School at suburban Pappakurichi-Kattur here today, where two of her children were studying Police said the woman Princi rang up the school Headmistress from her mobile and informed that bombs were planted in the school and they would go off within 30 minutes. The woman, who spoke to the assistant of the Headmistress, who attended the call said the School Management should provide Rs 75,000 and the money should be kept in a particular place , before disconnecting the call.

On being informed, a police team rushed to the spot and conducted a thorough search in the school premises and found nothing indiscriminate. With the help of Telecom Department authorities, the police detected that the call was made by Ms Princi. When the police reached her residence it was found locked.

A case had been registered and investigation was underway, police added.
