Ranchi, Nov 20 (UNI) Local body employees federation members from Jharkhand today demonstrated near Chief Minister Madhu Koda's residence in support of their five-point demands, including regularisation of their services.

JLBEF organisation secretary Ganesh Diwan Verma said that more than 1,000 people working in about 32 units of state government, including municipal corporations and notified area committees were on strike since October 26 demanding pension facilities, implementation of central pay scale and payment of their arrears.

A five-member delegation also went to Mr Koda's house to apprise him of their demands.

Mr Koda had directed his personal assistant Harendra Singh to look into the matter and do the needful, Mr Verma said.

Decision on whether to continue the strike or not would be taken in a couple of days, he added.
