Home Min issues advisory for proper depiction of National Emblem

New Delhi, Nov 20 (UNI) The Home Ministry has issued an advisory to all government agencies, authorised to use the National Emblem stating they should depict the Emblem together with the motto 'Satyameva Jayate'- written in Devanagari script-below the profile of the Lion Capital, the Lok Sabha was informed today.

It has come to the notice that some government agencies, while using the National Emblem on their official stationery, documents and seal often omit the motto 'Satyameva Jayate', which is part of the Emblem, and only depict the profile of the Lion Capital, said the Minister of State for Home Affairs Manikrao H Gavit in a written reply.

He said the Ministry has issued an advisory to all State Governments/UT Administrations, and Ministries/Departments of the Goverment of India reiterating the position that all Government agencies authorised to use the National Emblem on their stationery, seals and documents should depict the Emblem together with the motto 'Satyameva Jayate'-written in Devanagari script-below the profile of the Lion Capital.

They have also been requested to ensure that the motto 'Satyameva Jayate' is not omitted from the National Emblem, he added.
