HC modifies order in palmoil import case
Kochi, Nov 20 (UNI) A single bench of the Kerala High Court today modified an earlier interim order and directed that palm oil import should not be permitted through Kochi port until the further orders.
Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan, while posting the case for further hearing to Wednesday, ordered that no other vessel carrying palm oil would be permitted to discharge the goods in the Cochin port until further orders.
A single judge had earlier stayed a Central Government order prohibiting import of palm oil through the Kochi port on a petition filed by a Kozhikode-based firm against the order.
