Nagpur, Nov 20 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP unit president Nitin Gadkari and Leader of the Opposition in the state Legislative Council Pandurang Phundkar have condoled the death of senior Shiv Sena leader and former minister Pramod Navalkar.
In his condolence message here, Mr Gadkari said he was deeply shocked by Mr Navalkar's death. The state had lost a beacon in the field of social work in Mr Navalkar's death.
''I worked with him for several years in the Legislative Council.
It used to be a treat to listen to his speeches. I have suffered a personal loss in his death,'' he said.
The state has lost a senior journalist, writer and social worker in Mr Navalkar's death, which would leave behind a vacuum that could never be filled up, Mr Gadkari added.
Mr Phundkar also condoled Mr Navalkar's death, saying Maharashtra had lost a dedicated social worker.
