Chennai IT Corridor road to be completed by March : Minister

Chennai, Nov 20 (UNI) Minister for Highways Vellakoil Saminathan today said the IT Corridor road in the city from Madhya Kailash junction to Siruseri would be completed by March 2008.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the cost of the project had increased from Rs 215 crore to 290 crore due to an increase in the cost of construction materials.

Mr Saminathan said the project for widening and improvement of road from Madhya Kailash in Adayar to Siruseri in Old Mahabalaipuram for a length of 20 km, including two km east coast link road, would be completed by March 2008.

According to Government plans the road was designed to suit the world class standard, he added.

UNI
